TRACC 2.0 Product Tip, Week 5 – Service Analysis Report

TRACC 2.0 Product Tip, Week 5 – Service Analysis Report

This week we have our penultimate Product Tip of the TRACC 2.0 series, looking at the new Service Analysis Report. This can help in understanding which routes are used most to complete journeys between all origins and destinations, showing the bus routes that are most important for access.

Also, giving users a feel for which bus routes make up a core network for access. Inspired by the challenges that arose during the beginning of the COVID19 pandemic, in which services had to be significantly reduced but still allow key workers to get to their destinations.

How to do this?

Have the four main layers loaded for a Public Transport and Road Calculation.

Run a Public Transport and Road OD calculation in the Calculation tab and make sure tick ‘Enhanced Output’…

Select the results once these appear in the Result tab, and go to ‘Export to CSV’ to choose ‘Service Analysis…

Choose a location to save the csv file and open the report when done…

The full report details how many times each operator’s service in all directions is used for every journey completed and can be viewed online by clicking here.
