We had a great time at the APTA Expo is Orlando earlier this month. The show started on the 8th November, the day the US opened up to international visitors, after numerous PCR tests and borrowing our CEO’s brother to attend the first day of the conference, we managed to attend APTA EXPO. It was great to show off TRACC 2.0 to North America, and what a time to attend after President Biden announced a $1.2 TRILLION investment in infrastructure. While it seems a lot of this is earmarked for improving bridges and roads, when you look into the detail there are mentions about urban public transit modes and the need to improve them. It was obvious at APTA that there is a lot more thought around public transit around the way it is planned and implemented, something TRACC can really help with.
The show itself was rather quiet, though staff at the event mentioned it was their busiest event since COVID. We still managed to have some great conversations with potential new clients and look forward to attending the event again in 2023. The show was finished off nicely by a great photo of London from the sky while returning to the UK.
We are looking forward to TRB in Washington DC in January, where we will be showing off TRACC 2.01.
Nordic EV Summit
During the same week we attended the Nordic EV Summit, it was great to be part of the UK delegation to Norway see how the Nordic countries have adopted EV’s. It was apparent that charging and infrastructure is still a blocking point. Plenty of lessons to be learnt in this area, though shows why our EVR product which aims to allows users to complete a journey on a single charge is key. The next few years are still key to EV adoption and to hit the ambitions goals set out at COP26.
