This basic dataset is derived from the complete NAVTEQ base mapping; however this datasets omits streets and some unclassified roads. The dataset provides a complete road network that includes named large scale roads which can link in with other NAVTEQ products if required. All the roads have a unique field showing if they're urban or rural and place names show what county they're in. This data also includes Northern Ire, Isle of Man and Channel Islands; the data is licences for up to 5 users with an annual licence (perpetual licence also available) with an update provided each time a licence is renewed.
